The Income Tax Gazzetted Officers Association is the monolithic association of over more than 8500 promotee gazetted officers was founded way back in 1933. Even while working under alien masters, our leaders had the strength and vision to set up a strong association to protect the interests of members. The strength of the association is well demonstrated by the fact that it has travelled 75 long years and celebrating platinum jubilee year this year. At the national is an eight member team of principal office bearers steered by President & Secretary General and the team is also assisted by four zonal secretaries who represent aspirations of four zones. At the unit level the association is run by a team of principal office bearers and regional/zonal secretaries of the unit. All promotee gazetted officers of Income tax department are members of the association. Our members have occupied posts of ITOs, ACITs, DCITs, JCITs, Addl CITs, CIT's, Administrative officers, Senior Private Secretaries and Private Secretaries, and even the posts of Deputy/Assistant Director systems.
